Message in the Bottle a School and Community Project
The Message in the Bottle project is a revenue generating enterprise with profits shared between the participating schools and the projects of the organizations we partner with.
The program is a collaborative effort with Klean Kanteen, Safe Water Today and local schools to get students, faculty and community members using high quality stainless steel water bottles in their daily lives. The Goals of the program are to change the pattern of relying on toxic and wasteful disposable water bottles, keep unnecessary plastic from landing up in our oceans and land fills and raise awareness about global water concerns and sustainability.
The program challenges schools to look at the environmental impact of using plastic disposable water bottles on campus and creates an opportunity to reverse the negative impact of these plastics on the environmental. The program contributes to the global shift towards sustainability, and offers opportunities for educational collaborations in support of global water development projects.
